303abuser I’ve stated already that obviously racism does exist in some cases. However, what I disagree with are the unsubstantiated claims that racism in the police force is “systematic” or “institutional”.
Another thing, most of the questions you list there have nothing to do with police brutality - it is only yesterday that you were attempting to put me down when I referenced some wider issues, when you stated that:
303abuser ah yes, let’s completely shift the goal posts. the topic at hand is police brutality and if you can’t grasp that concept, there’s no point in broadening it to the economic and social factors that go into criminology.
So you’re acknowledging that I’ve now grasped the concept, or?
Plus, many of the anecdotes you reference there would also now be illegal if found to have occurred in most of the civilised western world and proven to have been based on racism or an unfair application of racial bias; so “the system” isn’t generally defending the few people who do such things when they have been found to have taken place.
Also, an fyi which is linked to some of those questions, my mother’s side of the family is Jewish - in case you didn’t know, anti-semitism is very much (still) a thing, so much so that the main left-wing political party in the UK, Labour, has repeatedly had to defend itself in recent years against allegations of being “institutionally anti-semitic”. However, as with the allegations directed towards the US (and now UK) police forces, I find such such stereotyping and labelling to be bogus, even though there will clearly be some bad actors amongst the party. The accusations which can tend to lead to such crude labelling can generally be explained logically. I’m definitely not a supporter of the Labour Party either, btw.
I’ll also pick you up on another one of your questions (even though it is one of the ones where you are “shift[ing] the goal posts”):
303abuser you’re concerned about your safety because the town is predominantly white?
I bet there are number of neighbourhoods in the US where many white people would be concerned about their safety if having to go to, and it won’t be because the neighbourhood is predominantly white.
303abuser i keep trying to simplify things for you
Finally, claiming that you’re “trying to simplify things for [me]” is no excuse for the fact that your posts repeatedly lack any form of real evidence or substance. If your posts end up being in any way simple, it is because you are simply a simpleton. Despite this, your posts manage the remarkable achievement of being basic, and shallow as a puddle, and yet repeatedly confused and contradictory all at the same time.
Your attempts at forming any kind of coherent argument appear like a child repeatedly fumbling around in failed attempts to tie their own shoe-laces.
