When I used to go regularly, Sonique was the main room resident - it was usually someone decent on 11-2 (well, van Dyk, Oakenfold, Fontaine, someone like that, Mauro Picotto seemed to play a lot too) and then she would show up about 2, doing her singing over the top of tracks act.
There was one bloke there every week, standing near the DJ booth, frequently just shouting ’Fuck off Sonique, you’re shit!' And it didn’t seem to throw her off her (already shoddy as fuck) mixing and singing. And I always wondered: why doesn’t he just go to the Back Room or the Arc (the basement room). And now I’m wondering was this pest Dermo?
