alistair This was very much of the era, the Manics, Suede and Pulp also had loads of B sides that were as strong as album tracks, and record companies pushed them to release CD singles were basically like EPs. Often 4 tracks.

Result was that these bands (and Oasis) probably had two additional albums of great material stuck on B sides.
