Oasis would’ve been funny in today’s age. Noel and Liam just going at it on Twitter.
And yeah, Dave, Supersonic is an enjoyable watch. Recommended.
bosstrabs Worse live band I’ve seen.
Dan that would be the Roses
The Gallagher lean back swagger that every wanker in a 200 mile radius of Manchester adopted was laughable then and laughable now. Singalonga student music for whiffs

Manchester to Southampton is 225 miles, I notice, just conveniently excluding you and your Craig David mates but including almost the entire rest of the country.
Bo!
A bloke I used to work with was from Southampton and actually made Craig David change his number around the time he was really famous, which I think is a great pub story for the ages. Apparently he acquired David’s phone number via a mutual acquaintance and then pestered the Garage ledge at all hours whenever him and his mates were hammered, until he had to change it.
I always preferred East 17 to Oasis. Proper songwriters and performers with a troubled front man. Oasis were just a copycat group all things considered.
They’re absolute gash, of course smalls likes them.
hugopal They’re absolute gash, of course smalls likes them.
Suspect you’re more of a Cabaret Voltaire man aren’t you Hugo?
Of course you are you absolute clown.
A once great band fronted by two shit cunts. Anyone who can’t hear that definitely maybe and what’s the story are great albums is tone deaf.
There was some shite around that time. Suede anyone?
Ocean Colour Scene are the band Oasis could have been. Or Cast.
Millsy
MIght as well throw ‘di Farm’ in whilst you’ve got your rod out
A few decent, if a little formulaic, tunes early doors.
Played up to fuck on their roots, then fucked off to London - where they’re still probably considered edgy.
A walking self-parody, good fucking riddance.
Wasn’t a fan at all. Thought their song writing was childlike and really over did the arrogance to the point where it was a '‘show’. Liam as a frontman was top drawer though in fairness.
I just thought that other bands of a similar ilk were far more talented and more interesting, such as Stone Roses, Verve Richrad Ashcroft (post-Verve)
seanc80 first Verve album is v underrated
I’ll give them Definitely Maybe, the rest, apart from a handful of b-sides, is absolute tripe.
Ed, you forgot your low hanging fruit tab.
Along_the_Wire Ed, you forgot your low hanging fruit tab.
Lol, thought I’d snuck it in under the radar!
Is this the thread where I tell the story about watching them to Top of Pops with Live Forever and then jump on the Northern Line to The Astoria to see them live in the same clothes. One of the most electric, atmospheric gigs I’ve ever been to. I went on my own as I could only get one single ticket.
Along_the_Wire yet you still think What’s the Story is shit. 30m albums later…
Ed is blatantly more a Blur man surely?
Millsy Ed is blatantly more a Blur man surely?
Madness.
As in the band not the suggestion that I’m more of a Blur man.
To be fair, when did record sales denote quality?
