Heno I was over during the Celtic Tiger works. My wife is from Stillorgan…. Love that area.
Out for a cheeky scoop on a Monday afternoon. First challenge is finding a pub that is open.
Second issue is that they have oasis on constant rotation.
At this point I’d take Jeff mills over this.

No such problems in London town!
Is it 1988 where you are, Bens?
There was that period between late afternoon and 5ish where pubs had to close. Not sure if that was a legal thing? Was always a pain in the arse getting kicked out for a couple of hours.

In the boozer with my old man early 80s; table of full pints to see him and his mates through the gap when the bar closed (you were allowed to stay in the bar but the shutters were down), and the same for me in Coke and cheese and onion crisps. Boss Sunday.
Yeah, it was a legal requirement.
Crazy to think how fucked the industry is these days by comparison to back then
Old-Dutch Oxfordshire is a little backwards.
Wetherspoons are pretty much the only battle cruisers I drink in now.
£7.50-£8.50 for a pint in a Youngs pub can fuck right off.
Smallman1 £3.49 for a pint of Guinness….. All sorts of winning and liver damage.

Don’t you regularly eat and drink in not cheap restaurants?
What do you care about the price of a pint in a decent pub?
Yeah, you’ve definitely got a keen eye for the bargains, Ed. Lol
Lol, all over it!
Lucky to find a boozer that isn’t owned by Green King these days. They seem to be everywhere.
mono-stereo this is true - they’re shit as well - levelhead is just a fizzy GK IPA which is awlful (advertised as a 100 years in the making , my fucking hole) with the only other craft beer left being Neck Oil which is almost a lager. Wank.
Unbelievable Jeff!
I always thought Greene King was utter shite, especially when compared to some of the other brewery ales one is forced to consume down south.
Courage Directors’ Draught and Fuller’s being the more palatable of the ales widespread in southern pubs.

Good to see Dave’s messaging from the 1970s.
I tell you what is absolutely dreadful, Madri.
Terrible stuff.

It’s a beer for uncouth heathens who think everyone in Spain has drunk it for over 200 years.
Not realising it was concocted by a focus group in Kettering 18 months ago.
Dave, I’m not lying, Wal is literally the Geordie who works at the petrol station.
Smallman1 Fucking LOL - You’re not wrong.
