Oh I don’t care much about a synth sounding like a certain analog classic or not. I just like the sound and capabilities or I don’t. Then there’s synths like Zebra, Vital, Omnisphere etc that you can basically program to sound anyway you want (to a high degree, but sometimes not 100%). Those type of synths cover all my needs. I’ve never been one to get a very model specific synth, like a Juno emulation. Too much of a one trick pony. You’ll likely end up with a 100 synths like that to cover the sonic territory that one synth like Vital can cover.
So, Sylenth for me is quite exception. Because, though it does not have the wide sonic range as the others, it has a sound I can not nail close enough in the others to be satisfied with.
