Unbroken1 Looks fun. Not looked at the detail but think there’s lots of potential with mobiles etc.

I know this is intended to run separately from the main programme but you could have a controller app with Macro controls, X/Y pad etc which would work on a phone screen which would be pretty useful.

Unbroken1 your right, but not at the same time. Be cool if it were possible to simultaneously inputting into the DAW - which feels like something that could well be possible with 5G. Could be an evolution of this if it’s popular.

Unbroken1 Cant complain for a fiver. Pretty cool in that you can import your own samples and even by using the mic on your phone. Will need to watch the tutorial video a few times to get the hang of it. Will only run on 11.2 and onwards tho for cloud transfer.

Soundtoys finally issued an M1 compatibility update. Looks like I’ll have to upgrade from ableton 10 on their next sale. This is the one that’s been holding me back.

Still waiting for NI to issue full M1 compatibility. Supposed to be happening in Q4. Hopefully will coincide with Black Friday. Although the bastards are not upgrading Absynth which I am gutted about as it one of the most creative sound generators out there.

11.2 has a few nice subtle changes to it. Not sure you’ll be massively impressed when your move to 11 though.

Henry I’m not expecting much from 11 outside of speed improvements, that’s why I haven’t upgraded yet. I hear you with NI too, I need Kush Audio to update to M1 as well, I use novatron and blyss on multiple tracks in every project, especially kick and bass. I can probably get along without them for a while, but I’d rather not. Some of these companies are really dragging their feet with this update.

Have a track, not mine, that loses its beat grid near the end.

Remapping with DJ sw pointless, it just looks like some ‘space’ has been added, or not edited out properly between beats at a certain point, throwing what follows off kilter.

Is this something you can edit out quite easily, with free sw? Just looking for a quick fix, can’t be arsed learning owt complicated - manual workaround = mix out earlier!

Mad_Cyril can you not just import it into an audi editor and cut the extra bit out?

Mad_Cyril If it’s a matter of just cutting out a few seconds (or fractions of a second) of space, that’s extremely easy. If the entire track drifts, that’s a more complicated warping task, maybe just easier to loop the outro that’s still in time. Warping isn’t something I’m practiced at though, I actually use it for messing shit up vs. fixing it.

Can Warp it for you in Ableton, if you like? If it just drifts at the end, it will be easy enough to time correct. 5 min job to do. Just tell me what the tune is that you want sorted. Can’t do it until Friday though as away currently.

I would definitely see if you can find a decent loop on the outro though and just mix out before it goes wonky.

You can quantize audio in logic, plenty of guides out there. I’m sure other DAWs also have similar features.

Any simple audio editor should be able to do that easily.

Will have a quick dabble with Audacity (soundforge discontinued for Mac!) I think, been meaning to so I can polish mixes (turds) anyway.
