RichM Think I’m getting confused here. I’ve seen first 2 seasons of Narcos, but not the 3rd. But just cracked on with the Narcos Mexico series. 3 episodes in and not convinced by it yet
Wally RichM Narcos Mexico is as good as Narcos I reckon - the first two seasons anyway - watching the 3rd (and last) series of N:M now. Doesn’t seem to be as good as the first two but enjoyable enough.
jonattonyeah Wally I enjoyed it. The bit about the maquiladoras didn’t work too well but I’m happy they attempted to address the issue of missing/murdered women along the border post-NAFTA. The problem has been grossly ignored for far too long. The Cuban bint can get it as well.
Wally I know it’ll get shit on, on here, but “Arcane” is an absolute masterpiece and totally recommended. The visuals are unbelievable and redefine what’s possible in the same way ‘Spiderverse’ did when it came out.
Hursty Just about to dive into S3 of Mexico, really enjoyed all series so far, but I would choose Mexico over Colombia if I had to
mono-stereo Untold: Malice at the Palace Key figures from an infamous 2004 incident between players and fans at an NBA game in Michigan discuss the fight, its fallout and its lasting legacy. I found it most amusing, basically a load of pissed up yanks throwing gatorade and chairs at each other.
jonattonyeah mono-stereo It was a pretty good doc. I remember when it happened. Ron Artest is an absolute maniac. They should’ve wheeled him out for games in that stretcher thing they used for Hannibal Lector.

jonattonyeah Hursty He’s still in the show. He’s Walt. Just decided to step aside this season for the journalist given women take more of a central narrative role in the show. I didn’t think she was bad. Didn’t stick out to me anyway.

Wally jonattonyeah The producer is working on a 6 episode one off show about some drugs dorris no one has ever heard of but probs controlled the lot. Seems a strange place to call it a day. Would have thought N:M S4 would be about El Chapo but I guess it’s been done before. That dude getting killed during production probs didn’t help matters. Still 6 seasons is a decent run.
jonattonyeah Wally Yeah agreed. The showrunner hasn’t ruled it out. Plenty more to tell. But as we get closer to the modern day they could risk pissing some powerful people off. Most of the stories thus far involved people dead, in prison, or irrelevant. El Mayo is still going strong.
