The Playbook is well worth a watch. Great episodes with Mourinho and Serena Williams’ coach (the same one who caused all the trouble at last year’s US Open).

Marathoned the BBQ Showdown, it’s a cooking competition show. The judges and contestants are interesting and fun, plus they do really well to bring out the whole culture of BBQing.

Was watching that as I mucked around the house last night. Quite enjoyable. Still love “Million Pound Menu” with that twat Fred.

      My octopus teacher. Amazing stuff.

Matt the bit where he says “I couldn’t stop thinking about her”…. a mid life crisis if there ever was one 😂

Jules72 yep, God only knows what the poor little thing had to endure when the cameras weren’t rolling.

jonattonyeah is that the one about the guy who murdered the wife and kids so he could run off with the 20 year old?

I remember seeing the cop vest footage on YouTube months ago. Sick fucker.

Rhouses just ruining lives left and right.

Currently working through people just do nothing, world’s most wanted and the epstein doc on netflix. Along with the sopranos on sky. The missus is on schitt’s creek which isn’t actually the worst comedy in the world.

Is Schitt’s Creek worth persevering with? I am three episodes into Season 1 and I don’t like any of the characters or find it funny. However, I felt that way about Parks and Recreation but then ended up liking it.

It’s not bad. That’s about as far as i can go, dave. Some quite funny parts but it’s very samey. Not sure what date that post of mine is from but we have made it to episode 10 of the first series so it’s not being binged or is first pick any night. There is a lot worse out there though.

Narcos Mexico……Totally binged on both series 1,2.

                Loved it

Narcos was great, couldnt get into the mexican one just as much as the pablo episodes though.

-si- Your joking? give it another go.

jonattonyeah I’d guess much of the subtle humor is lost if you’re not familiar with LA and all its fantastic horribleness

Not being from LA myself, interested in what you mean by this? I find Johnny Lawrence really funny in it. Fun TV.

Trying to watch Designated Survivor, yet to be convinced.

There’s just a certain lifestyle as a kid down in SoCal. Hanging out in strip malls, like outside of laundromats and convenient stores with nothing else to do. Or just sitting in a car somewhere. Or just aimlessly driving down boulevards. The show really goes at length to show that and for those of us who are familiar with how SoCal is, there’s a nostalgia and a humor that comes along with it. Some might just see those scenes as literal - what happens is what happens - but, there’s more nuance there. That’s why I understand if some are not fans of the show. Part of the humor is the familiarity.
