Is this series a brand new one of Suburra? I thought i had seen them all?
Netflix
New one, sean. Third series, just out last week.
Maybe you got a stream of it on a dodgy firestick or summat?

SPOILER ALERT*****
There is a certain member had been clipped from what i remember that i see still in it having flicked through the opening episode
Just watched the first episode of Raised by Wolves, not bad, Scott loves his crazy androids, proper bleak looking dystopia vibe too. Can only assume it will get darker and weirder.
yeah im on episode 4. its beginning to labour now though after a solid start
It’s the Netflix problem of handing all control over to the directors and producers. The editing and oversight from a higher level is essentially non-existent. The “sweet, we landed Scorsese through a $200M buy-job” ends up in a movie that, while good, needed fucking editing. HBO has always been pretty good with that. Being selective and just hands-on enough. Netflix has had some great shows that were 10 episodes that should’ve been like 3 or 4. The end result is unwatchable due to length and pacing.
The only one who has pulled it off is Fincher. Hopefully that b/w film coming up is good. Otherwise, Netflix is on the fritz for me. Most of their IP content is not good and their movie selection is just…poor.
jonattonyeah I always assumed it was the other way around, the networks demanding it be spun out longer, never promising more than one series / season or changing the game half way through etc.

It’s my understanding the pendulum swung too far in the other direction with Netflix originals. They knew their days were numbered with movie rentals so they tripled down on OC and threw money at whoever and whatever; with the added incentive of letting the creators do their thing with no oversight. The network tv handcuffs were off but the results have been mixed at best. What’s good has been very good. But most of their content is just bad bad bad cloaked in the veneer of edgy and prestige. Without truth-questionable documentaries, Fincher, and habit (with a few other sprinkles here and there), I’d be worried for their future. Disney has the content. Apple has the pockets. HBO has the rep. Netflix has a brand.
Spiderverse has been added to UK. Absolutely fantastic film
Enjoying The Queens Gambit, different pace to everything else I have been watching.
Thankfully looks like there’s some decent new telly around at mom despite lockdowns globally this year….
