rhouses jonattonyeah I watched the whole thing on a hotel TV and the settings were a bit wonky, wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Enough for the missus and I to marathon the whole thing on our staycation.
jonattonyeah rhouses He’s a very talented director who could use some help with the writing side of things. Everything he does is….fine. Enjoyable enough. But his direction has the potential to make something really, really good. Everything he does always seems to be missing something to push it over the top.
jonattonyeah Christian Excellent. Was just watching the most recent series for a second time. Didn’t realize a new one was on the way.
RichM Looking for something new on Netflix to watch. Last few things I’ve watched are Squid Game, Ozark, Lupin. Am thinking Spy, Narcos Mexico or Bordertown Any recommendations?
jonattonyeah RichM Narcos is excellent. Heavily subtitled so you can’t watch too passively but it’s really well done. The third season (not the Mexico one) is some of the best television I’ve seen.
Dan I thought Midnight Mass was good (albeit a slow burner) shades of Salem’s Lot meets 30 Days of Nights. 7/10 Worth a watch.
Mad_Cyril jonattonyeah The third season (not the Mexico one) is some of the best television I’ve seen. Agreed. Thought Mexico was poor in comparison
jonattonyeah Christian Making my way through the second season rewatch. Looking forward to season three.
jonattonyeah Mad_Cyril I enjoy it more than the Pablo Escobar seasons (the first two Narcos seasons). Mostly because I already knew that story pretty well from reading a book or two about him. Season 3 and then the newer Mexico seasons were all pretty unknown stories to me.
