Smallman1 it’s a standard small city, mostly the same shops, pub and restaurants as every other place. But over last year or so has seen an increase in independent places, which is good. Plenty of places which sell broccoli, but absolutely no prog. We do get Jimpster do the odd DJ set here. But fuck all else.

From what I remember she wanted to expand the business and was in the process of finding bigger premises that would have needed designing and branding, not sure if it any of that materialised or what happened.

That Cecil Hotel series is weird, including the part where the Brit couple are complaining about the water out of tap tasting disgusting. You mean the brown water coming out of the tap? Pair of oddballs.

Ceclil Hotel is Netflix at its absolute worst. Sensationalist nonsense that trivializes people’s actual lives. Close to cancelling my subscription, to be honest. They release 20 garbage shows for every okay 1. Once Fincher bails, which he will, their IP will be forgettable at best. They’re completely reliant upon habit. “Oh, Netfilx”. Once that dissipates they’re fucked.

Nasty, cheap exploitative TV. Seen one, seen them all. Just finished ZeroZeroZero. Raw, emotional and compelling.
