Homegrove nicksneddon Soul has a score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Had you told me in 1994 when I was watching Nine Inch Nails’ Woodstock ’94-performance that this man will one day do a movie soundtrack for Disney I would have asked what you’re on, and can I have some?
jonattonyeah Homegrove Isn’t that part of it? That he sobered up? Hard to stay angry at everything when you’re rich, in a good place in life, and looking for new challenges. I’d guess the relentless energy of NIN was exhausting.
jb_808 Scrooged is my go to Christmas movie after the kids have watched Elf and are tucked up in bed.
Homegrove Oh not judging, I get it. Just that in 1994 at 16 years old I would have deffo called it selling out. Besides he’s damn good at it. At no point during Mank did I think “this sounds just like Reznor & Ross.” Yet it was also a good fucking score.
Old-Dutch To be honest I haven’t got a problem with anyone selling out and making some serious coin. Good on them and good luck them
jonattonyeah Old-Dutch I agree. Do the principled thing when you’re young, make some good music and make a difference within a scene, and then get paid. No problem whatsoever.
Old-Dutch I watched The Boy in the Striped Pygamas last night, well until his mother closed the curtains and called the police
