Kells77 How heavy going is this? I’m still tempted.
Smallman1 brilliant book imo, Grillo has been deep in Mexico since around 2003, fantastic journalist
I started reading the Last Samurai from Dave’s list….was top of the list basically …intriguing so far
Tarantino wrote a novelisation for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Hundred pages in and it’s quite decent. No surprises that the dialogue is the best part. Otherwise it reads a bit like a pulp novel, which is also pretty fitting.
There’s a new Stephen King book out in a day or so, meant to be great
Tomorrow in fact.
Yep, that’s next for me.
Homegrove it’s a cracker.
The Tarantino was deffo worth 6 € if you liked the movie, it was also quite different. Stuff happens in different order, and in different locations. Watching the movie now knowing Cliff’s back story will be fun.
On to the new King, got it today.
Is that Billy Summers?
Yep.
Carl Cox releases his memoir next week.. will be well worth a read I expect
Jules72 Nice one Jules. I completely forgot about this.

Oh yes oh yes.
Jules72 Will be interested to see how ‘warts n all’ this is.
Along_the_Wire Is that called Billy summers
Dubman Yup
As I said above, yes. Halfway through and it’s great yes.
Homegrove I’ll wait until the paperback is released.
Dubman Dubman, Snorky’s hacked your account!
Dubman in the meanwhile check out Revival if you haven’t. Just listened to a podcast-episode about it, and finally after 10 years feel like revisiting it. It’s a slow burn cosmic horror-novel with the biggest bummer ending of King’s career. It’s more of a downer even than the movie ending of The Mist (King’s short novel has an open ending different from the movie). After I finished that book I just sat and stared at a wall for 30 minutes. 😂
Along_the_Wire Forgive me. who’s snorky
Amps he said in interviews he made an early decision not to take drugs… does he have any skeletons in the closet?
