@Homegrove I’ll always have a soft spot for King but his output this century isnt a patch on his early work IMO.
There have been some absolute stinkers in there - Bag of Bones, Lisey’s Story, Duma Key and the absolute worst (and maybe the worst book ever printed) Cell.
I find his portrayal of younger generations quite cringey (see ‘The Institute’ as an example) and he always seems to have the same types of characters in each of his books.
Saying that - I did read ‘Later’ last year and found that a welcome return to form
BTW - Tommyknockers was a weird book indeed, and deffo one of his worst
