I’ve not really posted much on this board, even though often browse this to see what shit people are chatting and to get music recommendations.

I should post more on the mixes a fair few of you have posted over the years on this and the older boards. However this year more than ever it’s been such an important part of life to get to listen to these mixes and an insight into new music out there. I’ve never listened to so much music whilst wfh, and at times when life is shit it’s great to stick someone’s mix on the headphones and head out for a walk.

I can’t comment on the quality of the mixing as I don’t have a fucking clue, but amongst you all I have got to listen to a lot of great music this year, so thank you all for making the time and effort to produce these mixes. Not naming anyone in particular as have listened to loads, and to be fair anyone who has uploaded a mix for us to listen deserves a thanks here

fully agree with the sentiment. the (good) problem is there’s almost too many great mixes to keep up with and give them the time they deserve.

Whats your background/story in the music community?

NasserAlazzawi not much of a background to report. It all started on 5 May 1991 when I went to see MC Hammer @ Wembley Arena, and he was supported by Snap. That opened the mind to electronic music. Then quickly progressed into old hardcore/rave music when I was a teenager, listening to old pirate radio stations ((Unity 88.4). That progressed into a love for techno and drum n bass when I was started going out clubbing. Found the spiritual sounds of wrecking ball prog around 1998 and not looked back since!!
