Amps Going dry for much longer than Jan, not a problem so far, may be an issue when normality resumes though and the pubs are open again. But I’ll be in no hurry to get through the door on day one etc.
Hursty Smallman1 After Dan’s post earlier I’ve just cracked open a bottle of Shiraz! JC wine boffs will not approve no doubt but it’s going down a treat!
Kells77 Hursty Yeah not a fan of Shiraz myself, but I know many that are! For me, I like tempranillos, monastrells, and tuscan reds like sangiovese or montepulciano di bruzzo. Shiraz, Merlot, Malbec, etc are too dry for my liking.
Hursty Kells77 Must say I am a complete novice having only got into red wine a couple of years ago. I thought Pinot Noir was the shit initially but have since expanded my range!
Millsy Smallman1 had a Malfy grapefruit with med tonic earlier and thought of you in that thong. When are we going for that pint?
Old-Dutch Enjoy Hursty. Am going to crack this one open one myself with my steak for dinner tonight https://images.app.goo.gl/mZXGrqCLbLbmfRZo8
Kells77 Hursty Oh I’m no expert myself. Just trial and error for me….I’ve had lots of wine I don’t like. 😂 Spending time in Spain and Italy though did help me refine what tastes good to me. And Pinot Noir CAN be the shit…but it’s highly variable based on which vineyard or region it comes from. Here on the West Coast, from Oregon and Washington, are where I’ve tasted some of the nicest PNs.
Hursty Kells77 Hehe fair one. It was definitely my go too initially as it was very smooth and light. My problem is that I like to try new things all the time, so am constantly migrating one from brand, brewer or vine yard to the next!
Smallman1 Millsy When are we going for that pint? When you start playing some music with some fackin minerals is the answer.
-si- Hursty pretending he is fussy where wine is concerned, when the board knows he will drain any bottle of cheap plonk(er) that’s opened for him! Get it down your neck lad!
Hursty -si- Absolutely, I’m a northerner, cheap and cheerful all the way! Lidl is my go to for wine and to be fair some of their vino is lovely
Smallman1 Hursty Lidl is my go to for wine and to be fair some of their vino is lovely Are you a sommelier Hursty?
Mad_Cyril I got conned into trying some Aldi Wines by the sister-in-law. Fucking diabolical, 48 hour hangover, inducing filth. Wont go near budget stuff now, purely due to the fear!!
