It keeps popping up on YouTube whiskey channels. And are always highly rated plus hardcore Hannu reckons it a good drop. That Monkey shoulder is not to bad if you add a splash of water to it.
It is a good drop, mate. But it’s just not something I’d personally recommend to someone looking to dip their toe in the water, try a few drams and have a nice fun time.

This is one of the best whiskeys I’ve ever had. Not sure you can get it any more but everything I’ve had from Ancnoc has been excellent

Dubman To be fair to Hannu he is talking about the quarter cask edition which is a different beast to your standard 10 yr old Laphroig.
What to do mate is get yourself to a decent bar and just try a few different drams. We used to kick off nights out in Aberdeen at The Grill which had about 500 different whiskies in stock.
