I use it for jetlag. You can get it from places like Holland and Barrett, you don’t even need to find a proper pharmacy.

A lot of airports sell it in the travel shop-type place, that sells all the junk like overpriced travel adapters, neck pillows and playing cards.

EDIT: You now cannot get it in Holland & Barrett, I just checked that. It has been reclassified in the UK and now requires a prescription. I have a massive bottle of 180 caps that I bought in Shanghai airport. Valerian or Ashwagandha will do pretty much the same, and is available in Holland & Barrett.

What are you expecting from it? It basically just tricks your body clock into thinking it’s time to sleep.

Valerian and Ashwagandha are different in that they’re herbal relaxants, but they work just as well for me when needing to sleep deu to jetlag. You might have more luck with them.

Along_the_Wire i find it mildly helpful for falling asleep initially, does nothing to make me sleep better or fall back asleep if i wake up. i really only use it on tolerance breaks as weed makes me sleep like a rock and i get a rebound effect coming off it.

    As above, I would recommend Ashwagandha which helps me get a better night’s proper sleep. Melatonin knocks me out, but like you I sometimes then wake up.

        I’ve tried to stay away from prescription stuff. The items I’m talking about are herbal remedies.

        Fair fucks going for the big guns though, if none of the herbal stuff works for you.

        bosstrabs i don’t normally have problems sleeping, it’s actually the only negative impact i’ve seen from eating keto, especially when i’m doing 16/8 fasting. even then i still get 8-9 hours most nights. i actually have a container of ashwagandha powder, my wife takes it pretty regularly for the reasons you mentioned, just haven’t tried it myself yet.

          303abuser The only problem is besides being a sleep aid, it boosts testosterone, so don’t do it for days in a row or you will have a massively aching nutsack, and probably best your missus doesn’t do it every day unless she wants hairy arms.

          I’m sure she’s already aware of this when she bought some, women tend to do their research on dietary supplements.

            Haven’t had a drink til Sunday night - the family had one last night and I managed to hold out. Looking forward to a few tonight. It’s actually been easy (and necessary) and I’ve been sleep much better the past few weeks than I have a quite a while.

              The worst part about falling asleep is waking up at 4am with the bright lights of the laptop shining in your eyes and the Hairy Housewives home page flashing like a Cameo Rotofever. I’m sure you all have that issue. No?
