Hursty …before we know it, I’ll be getting ‘burglarized’, and WTF then!?

To be fair, I’d never heard the term bog standard prog fodder / BSPF until I was on here more recently.

What I’m noticing is that very talented producers sometimes do a handful of really innovative tracks and then realise that to sell volumes and chart/become internationally recognised they seem to inevitably revert to this standard.

There are producers in Cyprus who just bang out this stuff all the time and there are noises in the productions that I just don’t appreciate. Bearing in mind I’m at the beginning of learning how to produce and basically don’t know the lingo, In my head they come across like big epic hollywood movie sounds and aimed at really obvious big room domination. And the crowd would go wild at it tbf. It just seems to sell.

I’m hoping it’s just Guy J dipping his toe in here. I don’t like all of his productions but I’ve loved loads of them.

Agree with Christian on Forme (Guy J Remix) i’ve always loved that and @alistair with Tuesday Maybe

This is a personal favourite of mine from Guy J.

NasserAlazzawi good track that, nice melody. Would work well in your sets. According to his twitter, he is doing a 3 hour Echo set today

    a year later

Don’t care about the flack that I will get for posting the above. Mix is excellent and has a number of great pick-me-up tracks such as this, Heartbeat - Jonas Rathsman

6 hours of Hernan and Guy J anyone?

    Forgot about this thread.

Ended up meeting him at his gig I was photographing in Cyprus (it wasn’t very busy as the promoters are new to running events) and he seemed to stick to easy going melodic 119 ish bpm stuff. Even though he was on last. Everyone loved it but the DJs on before him were more upbeat somehow.

Christian Would sound boss in a tent somewhere in the middle of summer.

Cankles-McJeggings nope, I forgot about it until someone bumped it up.

When I posted this, I had feared he had gone down the tougher/harder melodic techno rabbit hole that loads of producers have done. It has worn thin on me but thankfully it seemed to be a one off.

Don’t worry about Derm Nas, he’s a mahoosive looser.

      Lol for Zeeman!
