A good warmup set isn’t a formulaic procession of the latest bilge in the Beatport organic top 50.

It has imagination, craft and a groove that draws you in.

That shit has none of that.

Those tunes are so formulaic even I would be confident of playing a solid 2 hours without having to even know, or have heard, any tunes prior. The biggest risk would be staying awake.

Horlicks house.

This is just my opinion.

    Am with MC, not literally.

Mad_Cyril Agreed. A warmup set is not meant to put you in a coma or induce suicidal thoughts.

Mad_Cyril I haven’t even bothered to listen to it so what do I know. Remember Tim Green rocking Bedrock in London with his “organic” house and the atmosphere was better than the main event. All the women throwing shapes oddly seemed to disappear for Digweed.

to be fair, it is quite difficult warming up for slow dull prog and ‘techno’

    SM001 Oh my yes.

    Am about to hit play.

    Hold tight for feedback!

Wally I listened to the 2nd hour of this and it had some tasty cuts, I liked the one at 1:16.
This type of dubby prog is all the rage out in SA, it can be hit & miss but with the right crowd and venue it can be good to get your top off and maybe even your belt. There are some low ceiling dark & sweaty places hidden around Buenos Aires with get down groovy people who will get right on it. Usually with music like this.
This looked like a big event so standard warmup shizzle.

Millsy listened to the first 3 of these today, great mixes. Cheers for sticking them up again

    Always loved this from Emerson-
