mono-stereo Its still using the blockchain obviously you’re local shop need it in gbp but it’s directly subtracted from you’re crypto and no fee. There are more and more merchants accepting btc and eth via wallets so they receive as btc and it’s up to them if they want to convert to fiat. If you’re eth is going up in value the way it can it’s certainly better than having everything in gbp or euro. Plus you’re 1.5% back every time you use the card.
The card is reducing fees as you would have to convert to usdc incurring a fee then also incurring a fee to withdraw to bank.
