Yes, but Johnson isn’t a conservative.
He’s a mere opportunist/populist.
In fact, the modern Conservative Party aren’t really conservatives, they’re mostly a bunch of grifting shysters whose politics and economics are close to a hyper, unhinged version of neo-liberalism with almost no discernible morals whatsoever.
Of their leaders during our lifetimes, Theresa May was probably a proper conservative, as was William Hague I suppose.
