zackster My politics are left of centre. Not all the way, but definitely firmly to the left of centre. I’ve had SO many discussions over the years with friends who occupy a much further left position on the political spectrum than me about the value of electing a left wing moderate - that having someone ‘closer’ to your political views is better than someone on the right side of the spectrum with whom you agree about nothing.
Better an imperfect Democrat/Labour PM than a hideous Republican/Tory, right?
Biden and Harris are doing their utmost to undermine that position. They’re fucking woeful. If there remains such a thing as a moderate Republican in the GOP, and they haven’t hounded them all out of the party, then they will destroy the Dems in the 2024 election - IF they can secure the Republican nomination…
