I don’t understand why they never mentioned Trump’s lack of action during the riot - he didn’t say anything to stop it for hours. That’s more significant that reading something he said at a rally.

He was never gonna get convicted either way.

absolutely not. The precedent can never be set that a President can be convicted of crimes committed while in office. The job of the President is literally committing crimes on behalf of the country. I understand this is a unique circumstance, but I still don’t see how they can allow it to happen. Don is safe.
