Picked up a Kg of CC mystery 14 on Monday. Only had a few cups and it’s good with a caramel, chocolate taste. It’s so much better than the awful Lavazza beans we had.

I managed to grow a pair and have got that Beko bean to cup coffee machine. Underwhelming, but mainly because the dopey missus picked me up some shit Tesco Finest coffee beans.

Any recommendations for strong, excellent beans for espressos, please?

I’m assuming a finer grind setting is best for stronger coffee?

Along_the_Wire the beans make ALL the difference mate, plus running it for a week or so. My first cups were shit. Most went in the sink, but today I get consistently great coffee.

All new grinder burrs need to be seasoned before they settle down. I ran a kilo of cheap Aldi coffee through my new grinder when I bought it. Probably more difficult to do in a bean to cup

I’m loving my daily coffee making routine, still hit and miss on making decent espressos, and don’t want to fork out on a new espresso machine yet (currently got a delonghi dedica)

I bought an aeropress a couple of years back and never used it. Tried it out the other day, and what a great piece of kit. Now mixing up the espressos with decent long black coffee
