Smallman1 i’m assuming you’re talking about Adams, as i spell it with an ‘i’ lol. and you got the rest backwards too, i like canada (outside of the weather in most places) and while hockey was a big thing especially with the oilers in the 80s, i couldn’t care any less about it now (unless it’s beating the americans internationally, that’s worth watching).
vancouver and much of bc is nice, the prairies are complete garbage and the same goes for the east coast, although it’s supposed to be pretty, i’ve never been that far east. the only good part about edmonton/calgary is proximity to the mountains, although jasper is still a 4.5 hour drive from here.
the music scene outside of toronto and montreal is pretty bland at best. like kells mentioned, stereo is the only proper club i’m aware of, although i’m sure people from toronto would disagree. where i am, we get mark farina once a year and if there’s one other decent dj a year, that’s a bonus. 20 years ago we had tons of great djs through here weekly (that’s relative of course), but the scene is dead now. it’s all rock/country/pop/bullshit hip hop.
