you know what mate- i was trying to work out why it took so long to get enthusiastic again and i think the XZ sort of puts me off because my method of mixing is now so formulaic using the loop buttons to cue up, micro managing the track speed and visually choosing mixing points etc- the whole process is so easy and then you have the long gaps between the next mix (even though i would probably find a way to fuck it up if i ever did it in public!). i think i maybe should have gone for a couple of stand alone CDJs and a mixer even though the cost is incomparable to the all in one.

      Know what you mean, have binned any attempt at pre programming cue points and now just try replicate vinyl approach else it’s just like being a data analyst input clerk

      Less clinical but more interactive from a playing perspective. Unless you’re struggling for a deadline!!

      I’ve also found prog really boring to play. Obviously the the formulaic organic ADID / AnjunaSleep shite is off limits, but even the more banging stuff.

      Love listening to but find dull a/f to play, fuck knows why.

      Think at the end of the day you’re supposed to enjoy it so whatever works best in that respect.
