Just took the plunge today and phoned Kia, turns out I can get an e-niro by next weekend. So I will. Definitely gonna be a big change in terms of driving style but seeing as you can buy it tax free through your own company it seems a no brainer to get it. Be able to drive into London guilt free again. Not that I ever did drive into London but there you are.

Anyone want a 320d touring with 105k on the clock?

The beauty of a proper diesel is you can just sit on the motorway for hours at 75 and it will go for 700 miles, and take 5 mins to fill up again. Already getting range anxiety.

Good lad. Lease on our hybrid is up next year, and looking at a Polestar to replace it. Can you easily charge at home? Biggest pain in my ass at the moment is being to find on street parking in our neighbourhood that hasn’t got an ICE car blocking the lamppost charger…

Absolutely love my Ioniq, had it 3 to 4 months, just feels like motoring has moved on now.

I purchased a PodPoint for home charging, it takes time to jump through the hoops but seems like a good product. It was half price as well at the moment with the government grant.

Hursty it’s a nice car but has little annoyances like the lack of a front sensor and rear wiper.

Millsy Yep the front sensor is weird , it will recognise a car in front and slow appropriately but won’t actually halt the car .

Rear view is shambolic but I’ve got used to the camera and mirrors again.

Yeah we have a drive and going to get a pod point installed. Plus free electricity at waitrose. Peak middle class.

Brighton is a bit of a pain in the arse if I was to visit my dad but there are 50kw chargers you can spend 20 minutes on and that will get me home.

I was choosing between a faster diesel bmw (335d) or being a grown up. Being a grown up won. I have never set foot in the car and just stumped up for a new car.

In an ideal world I would have got an iPace but I am not made of money! Not a fan of tesla.

95% of my driving i will get there are back on charges from home and will move to smart electricity tariff.

The one thing I will miss is that covid allowing, I can currently just drive to the alps with a bike in the boot. But for the few occasions I want to do that tbh I could just fly and hire a diesel out there for the short time I want to embrace the clean mojntain air

iPace is one of the worst looking cars ever designed, probably lush inside!

Pretty much just ordered my ioniq based on sitting in it and comparing with sitting in a Leaf.

You won’t be disappointed and it genuinely feels good to drive one and not gas the kids on the path.

I currently use the local council sports centre who let us charge for free!

Hursty Aye, is fugly. Was looking forward to what JLR would do with a slightly more mainstream design for the XJ, but they’ve knocked that on the head to accelerate replacements for their higher selling models.

Really dislike the design direction Audi and BMW have taken for their EVs. The Mercedes EQ range look pretty beige to me as well.

yeah, actually the mercedes eqc looks a lot nicer. The ipace is like a futuristic x6 and i hate the x6.

The e-niro is nice. Looks like a normal car. I don’t want some ‘demolition man’ (great film btw) futuristic looking monstrosity. Beige is good. Beige and sub 5 seconds 0-60 even better
