mono-stereo Pioneer have lost the plot. It’s over. Focus clearly on mid market tat rather then professional level gear since they where bought out imo.
Along_the_Wire mono-stereo completely agree - they’re shitting themselves because of the Denon Prime - all they had to do was make the XZ 4 channels, but they were too paranoid about their top end sales. Wank.
whatever Along_the_Wire Yep, 4 channels and a bigger touchscreen that’s more intuitive, a few minor tweaks and they’d be laughing. They’ve massively overcompensated. Plus the price point will narrow the decision for some between that and the 3000s.
IndustryStandard Prime4 is due for a revamp soon i reckon. If they made the look and feel a bit more high end, its a no brainer choosing that vs Pioneer given the price difference and the fact the software is now on par. Ive had my 5000s for years and they have been superb. Suppose a great case study on how marketing and perceived “market leader/industry standard” trumps features and price. Plus getting sponsors. Noticed Diggers moved away from A&H mixers to Pioneer now.
Homegrove IndustryStandard it seems that so has pretty much everyone else. Digweed still seems to play with a DB4 if the promoter can get it.
mono-stereo Homegrove I don’t understand why the likes of diggers aren’t using a model 1. Great mixer.
Homegrove mono-stereo he played with it once, and it clearly didn’t stick. I think he likes the efx integrated too.
IndustryStandard Did anyone pick up a Technics Mk7 50th anniversary model? If so, any cop? They are selling out fast and might be a wife friendly addition to the front room if a get a colour she likes…….i live in hope!
Mad_Cyril Heno Thinking it might be a component upgrade for the valve mixers. But who knows, my ideal would be a Radius with Airhorn integration
Mad_Cyril Heno As an aside, have noticed Denon have added FX to the on board SC6000 we, you seen it yet? Deffo some hot horn action included.
