Homegrove …I primarily used the HPF instead of the EQ when mixing (never as an ‘effect’). On the Rane/V6, you’d only ever use it to 12′o’clock anyway, in other words subtractively, to remove the bass as far as the mids, I can’t see an application where you’d want to sweep the bass up beyond that point.
The resonance on the second half of the sweep is a bit weird, but I guess its just a way of combining the way most people use a mixer filter with something that’s a bit more FX-like. Might have been better if you could affect the resonance with a separate knob, like on the Rane, but I don’t see it being a massive problem.
