Build quality looks great, but a bit like the Condesa, just doesn’t really appeal to me… not really a fan of EQ’s on rotaries, would much rather just have lots of headroom on the gain knobs and an HPF/Iso.

Similar question to MC was asked to play a few tunes over the weekend coming at a party as far as I’m aware the players are 3000’s, my players at home are Denon, is it possible to download tracks say from beatport and play them straight from a usb? Also if I need to analyze them can it be done through recordbox mobile ?

Heno Tracks need to be within Rekordbox on your laptop before transferring to the mobile app. It’s such a ballache, I’ve given up

Heno so I did a mini test for MC regarding this on my XDJ1000MK2’s which I believe act the same as any 2000NSX2 or 3000 CDJs and this is what I found.

You can put WAVs, FLAC, AIFF directly onto a USB stick without using Reckordbox and the XDJ/CDJ will find the track and load it. What it won’t do is find any Metadata and it won’t give you an in-time wave form to view on screen. So you’re effectively cueing and playing the track as you would with vinyl. All audible, non-visual.

Im on Denon and had to buy a crappy Pioneer controller that unlocked all the Rekordbox/Pioneer controller BS and created a separate RB library.

Alright mate. There’s this legendary guy in the Netherlands who’s DJ’d his whole life and is also a programmer.

If you have a Mac, he made a one-off purchase Mac only app that makes your library in one central place for you and then builds USB for CDJ and USB for Denon.

He’s been a fucking livesaver for me and half the Denon community. He’s against subscriptions and its fairly priced. Updates them all the time (like when Denon updated Engine two months ago he had it fixed within a few days! Same with Rekordbox)

To save you the headache of finding out why, have two USB sticks on your Keyring.

Whilst they could in theory all run on one stick, many of us (including me) found that the Denon hardware, if DJing on it long enough, with Rekordbox on the stick, would randomly shut down and restart. Highly embarrassing for a bunch of us Resident DJs and I was the one who fixed it for us using this.

Anyone know how bad the filter pop crackle noise is on the original xone 92? It was fixed on the xone 92 mk2.

mjh Doesn’t happen on all of them mate. I had one from my mate (new in 2007) and that didn’t pop.

Cheers lads for all the help much appreciated,
Think I have it sorted had a old copy of record box(ver 5) on my old MacBook (2010) so I was able to analyze tracks I had on it I’m only looking for wave forms so hopefully this works, tho when I used my MacBook the auto update was on and it’s literally killed it!
