Me and a couple of other DJs are perplexed by
- lack of crossfader (I enjoy using it)
- no beat-fx, instead some send-fx. It’s literally on the wrong side for no good reason
- filters are replaced by a new “cross path filter” only shaping mids and highs, retaining bass
- they will have reduced this to 3 channel to avoid losing the v10’s club / festival market by launching a 4 channel.
All of their decisions are like this in recent years - trimming things off that would make products perfect to steer more expensive purchases on average, worldwide
On the plus side IMO this is still an amazing mixer, one of the best, aimed at pro home users or room 2.
They sound amazing, including on turntables like the v10 does (v5 and v10 both sound nicer / warmer than A9)
I would have been genuinely tempted for home if it had a crossfader, the other things are minor and I could look past.
I want a v10.
