DJ setups/Mixer porn/New toys thread...
Canāt wait for the fashion to change and everyone to start buzzing on faders.
ā¦meh, the vast majority still do.
Maybe its time to accept it aināt a fashion thing, some folk prefer one , some the other

Mad_Cyril congrats on the new kit mate!
@benson Iāve had and recently sold DDJ-1000 (loved it) moving to the XDJ-XZ.
One thing I will recommend if you are serious about playing vinyl on the DDJ-1000 is that the inbuilt Phono preamps were only really put there to enable DVS (timecode vinyl). They donāt sound great for getting the vinyl sound and neither were every mixer after the DJM-600 until the 900NXS2, DJM-V10, and the XDJ-XZ. The V10 being the best sounding analogue/digital conversion from Pioneer.
On the DDJ-1000 and Pioneer mixers from DJM 700 to DJM 900nxs1 I recently found out that there is something you can do about it - get a pair of these and route the audio into Line mode (not Phono).
It clears up / boosts the sound from turntables and sounds better.
PYLE PP444 Phono Turntable Preamp (x2)
Enjoy mate.
NasserAlazzawi Nas. Did you ever have any headphone issues when cueing on the DDJ-1000?
Every now and then Iām getting audio cutouts in my headphones when cueing. The master cue and channel cue are both active, It will be working fine and then just nothing. turning the headphone control knobs does nothing. the only way I can get it working again is to unplug the headphone and plug them back in again.

Matt hi mate - I did have a volume issue where cue or master would go too quiet.
However, to me it sounds like this could be a connection problem.
Check:
- Connection between headphones and wire is tight
- Take the headphone jack out and if youāre using the big āquarter inch jackā size end, screw it off and on TIGHT-TIGHT as this has affected me before when it is just slightly loose
- If that does nothing, unscrew the large Headphone jack off and use the small 3.5mm jack port next to the larger one
NasserAlazzawi Cheers mate. Tried most of those (apart from using the 3.5). Itās a strange one. Canāt even find much info about any similar issues (and solutions) online

Maybe order one of these.
And even consider a replacement headphone cable
If the kit is new it could just be faulty - you could take it in for pioneer warranty repair by starting a conversation with pioneer here
Unbroken1
Bought one of these after having a look round.

Like the idea of just being able to plug phone in, record and upload
ā¦nice little vid showing the difference between mixing with the HPF (Radius) and EQ (Two Valve).
Also interesting to hear the saturation added by the valves- personally think its a shame thereās no valve option on the Radius, lack of channel meters aside, itād be almost a full recreation of the V6 then.
I think they will make one eventually. Unless they fear that would get them into hot water with A&H, or Rigby-Jones doesnāt want it. Neither option makes little sense, as the V6 is discontinued.
Which reminds me, now so is A&H DB4. Will be interesting to see if A&H will counter the Pioneer V10 with an efx heavy version of Xone 96. Iād buy that. Nothing else would make me get another Xone, still too happy with the PX:5.

Everyone needs to get a grip and stick with industry standards here
Homegrove ā¦donāt imagine thereād be any problem with A&H, Andy R-J said they had no interest in making anything at that āboutiqueā price point ever again!
If it did have the valves, and some decent channel meters, iād be sorely tempted by a 2-channel one for a laugh.
Sort of think they wonāt replace the DB4, as the 92 was their best seller by a country mile, and the 96 is the evolution of that. I could see them evolving that design further though, making it more modular or adding more channels maybe..
Along_the_Wire ā¦for mixers? not Pioneer surely!
Have that video bookmarked for a listen, but been avoiding as Iām getting more fond of the Radius2 as the weeks go by.
Heno the internet is good for that sort of thing
Along_the_Wire is that on computers?
Yes, the DB4 is now discontinued. I bet lots of shops still have stock though, so if you want one now is the time to buy it.
