…listening to these things is so subjective though, beyond a certain point, I’d be amazed if most people could distinguish between most mixers on the basis of how they sound.
A brand like Formula Sound are often perceived as having great sound because they are designed as installation mixers, and have shitloads of headroom (the Rane MP2015 was the same, even though digital, people commented on the ‘great’ sound).
The only real exception to this, being between something like the once ubiquitous DJM500/600, which were always driven into the reds and generally sounded cack.
