mono-stereo i have an old, but i think still working djm500 in the loft. I think it is missing 1 knob. Yours if you want it although I have no idea if a proper old analogue mixer works with modern tech

Unbroken1 ….my DJM600 just slowly died during one gig, not a quick blow up…..just a gradual degradation of sound/cut outs/one channel packing up, then switching RCAs onto another, then that packing up after another hour or so, then it totally died about 10 min from the end of the night

Unbroken1 no idea about the sound but I preferred playing with the 600 over the 800 when it was released. The 800 had the worst 3 band equ I’ve ever played with. I was heavy handed with it at the time, and on the 800 cutting the bass pretty much took away everything else too.

benson …just notoriously terrible, negligible headroom and the FX properly messed with the signal path.

Ubiquitous in bar set-ups and bedrooms for fucking years though… anybody I knew that dealt with proper soundsystems wouldn’t go near one.

Unbroken1 Phono pre amps utter toilet. Make a turntable sound like a TDK D90 cassette.

Have to say i did like the old echo, quick in and fade out using the yellow button. Nice and simple, unlike the Phd you need to decipher my DB2 ( dread to think what the DB4 is like )

Speaking of Firmware. Denon updated its Engine OS firmware today - for the SC6000’s introduces onboard FX - pretty much completes my setup 😀

I remember when I bought my DJM500 i had the choice between that and a small A&H mixer, cant rember which. The thing that put me off the A&H was the headphone plug was at the back of the mixer for some odd reason.
