Along_the_Wire yeah. I rang around pretty much every shop and djkit said CDJs are due next month so out my order in with them. I’m sceptical as to when I’ll see it.
mono-stereo I get told that every other month. You can get them easily in Australia, as Dermo has previously stated, but you’ll have to pay VAT and I want to keep my costs low for a third deck.
Along_the_Wire yeah I checked auz, too expensive. Checked Germany, France and Holland too, nada.
Along_the_Wire Fuckin’ hell. How long has that been now?
whatever 10 months mate!
Along_the_Wire
Blige. Either they know you’re a man of your leisure and bumped you to the bottom of the list, or Mrs G has had a word to make sure you get those decorating jobs done around the house.
Homegrove Mad_Cyril if you want to go REALLY specialist get the Isonoe @Unbroken1 has but refuses to do mixes with.
Think I’m just going to save a load of dough for it and then see if I really want to buy one!
Will be getting used though, the old Ableton isn’t for me. Have disappeared down enough wormholes and don’t need any more!!
whatever Mrs G has had a word to make sure you get those decorating jobs done around the house.
Deffo this!!
Mad_Cyril I’m not allowed to do anything like that around the house as I’m so bad, she can’t bear it. FTW!
Along_the_Wire Skillz
I’m still working my way there!
@Unbroken1
So the price to have a 92 converted by them is 850€ if you supply the mixer. I also asked for an additional revision of having the cross fader left in and they said an extra 50€ because the plate has to be customised including the rotary faders moved up slightly to accommodate it. You cannot just delete the crossfader either there’s a mod required. They said all good just send it across but guess how long? 4 months! 😂 Be the only one in existence though. Think I might go for it. Going to sleep on it for a week or so. I didnt realise that mine is a UK made one which makes it less common and more valuable apparently. I thought they were all uk made!
Cankles-McJeggings nah, most if not all the ones with the dark face plate were/ are made in China. The older light blue models were all made in the UK. I think.
Cankles-McJeggings just buy a radius 2, extra £100 built just as well and based on the v6, one of the best things I’ve bought.
Cankles-McJeggings yeah I’ve the silver one too, black one seems to be much more common.
Cankles-McJeggings Ask this guy to https://www.instagram.com/mcaudiosolutions/ based in Greece
…think that sounds fair tbh, getting the new faceplate cut and silkscreened will cost a chunk I’d imagine.
4 months is a bit of a wait, but it’ll be super-scarce and collectable!
Unbroken1
Yeh but now I’m thinking should I be bastardising a UK made one! I do like the idea of a one off though too.
Homegrove …I mix on it plenty thanks, and have posted video evidence!
Cankles-McJeggings …tbh I’m not sure there’s that much of a premium on the UK-made ones, only folk I’ve ever heard reference the difference are nerds on mixer forums, there’s been a fuck-ton of 92’s made, and I think I’d rather buy a more recent one than an older ‘UK’ model that’s potentially been hammered.
Get it done mate 😆
Yeh the more I look at the pics the more I want one too 😂
Just had a look at couple of 23c rotary conversions. Both looked a bit weird without a crossfader.
Heno
Radius 2 doesn’t have enough channels or a crossfader. Valve 4 however, which does, is twice the price and a bit.
Cankles-McJeggings what about the omnitronic?
