Homegrove ..still use my Mk1 from time to time. Great piece of kit.

I do feel like Traktor is in a death spiral though. Serato and Virtual DJ have won the open format/jobbing laptop DJ market and Pioneer / Denon the purist house/tech side with hardware. Traktor is very niche now and I dont see many DJs using it nowadays, even though its the best piece of DJ software out there IMO.

Virtual DJ is better nowadays imo. I only use it for fucking around on mind. A friend of mine wouldn’t have it that it was any good so I did a 3 hour mix of s&d type stuff he likes to prove it. Didn’t use anything other than a laptop, my Sonos 5 and a mouse. Whole mix done with no preview of tracks so live mixing as it is. He was converted.

Warm 4 review up. Seriously contemplating pulling the trigger vs my current DB2. Seems like they have switched over to metal pots and the whole sub base synth built in seems like it could be a lot of fun.

Dan - as per the review, a rotary aimed at those coming from the DJM/Xone type of 4 channel mixers.

Send/Return for me is key so I can start using my RMX500 again. My DB2 is great, but the effects are very very complicated and im not really utilising them as much as I should be. Whatever you say about DJMs, the effects sections have always been very user friendly and intuitive in a live environment. Same of the RMX/EFX units Pioneer made

Did you miss the bit about where you can get it to ‘laser’ your hand so you can change a track or whatever it was? That was different.

But yeah, I think phones or whatever we can call them are doing it all for now perfectly well. I might bulldog clip mine to my tweed lapels, see how I get on.
