Just realised you have the same visual cues on the XDJ 1000 as the 2000 in terms of beatmatching. That’s quite handy for me with the third deck, as I was finding that tricky to beatmatch with two other tunes going at it.

I have a 25 year old Gemini XL600 turntable and I’m wondering whether I can use it to convert vinyl to digital. Can anyone recommend what stylus and software/setup I should use please? I understand Audacity is highly recommended. I don’t have any vinyl and haven’t used the deck for 20 years. So can’t actually test out how it’s working until I get some vinyl. I’d rather not have to shell out on a new deck, my Gemini worked just fine back in the day. I’m guessing the choice of deck does not really matter and it’s more about the stylus and software used? I reckon your turntable will be ok as long as the cartridge & stylus are in good condition. I’ve thought about doing it myself many times but I Just can’t be bothered.
