Millsy I went to some wings place in Chicago to try their hottest wings - my missus videoed it - it was so horrifically hot, I nearly went into shock. I could barely breathe, let alone eat and drink for an hour or so. I love hot food.

Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives has done a fucking ton for middling small restaurants across the States. In some instances, he literally saved their business (Gorilla BBQ in Pacifica being one).

A few years back (!!!), during our now annual wildfire season, given he’s from NorCal, he set up a distribution network for restaurants to make packaged dinners for workers and those displaced. We partook in it - that’s how I met him - and he couldn’t have been more genuine and friendly.

Yeah he dresses like a fucking dork and has frosted tips with a stupid goatee like it’s 1994. Don’t care. He’s a good dude.

Some places consider hot food to be a dick-swinging contest. “Oh you think you can handle MY HEAT.” It’s really quite silly. You’re a chef who made something inedible. Good for you. You prat.

Do have a friend who’s super into hot food. Like, crazy hot. He says it makes him hallucinate which is why he likes it. Load of nonsense.

Right. Went to the Red Dog Saloon in Hoxton to do the hot wing challenge. The taste was dreadful and unnatural. It was like eating chemical covered wings rather than a hot sauce.

My idiot friend ordered the hottest of the hot fried chicken at Hattie B’s in Nashville. Couldn’t make it through. Tried to give it to some homeless dude and I was like…absolutely not. You could kill the poor guy if he’s not used to extraordinary hot food.

My sandwich, on the other hand, was just the right amount of spice and nothing short of immense.
