Did I see Daft Punk on that last!?!? Well written. You must be very proud.
What do you think
Great stuff.
Canât say I agree with the Daft Punk claim. Despite seeing them a few times.
Or the Bends which lets face it has the best opening tune on any fucking album.
Nice choices on there.
I know some NBA blogger-types, not like besties or anything, and they used to do it out of just loving the game and sharing thoughts. Theyâve managed to turn it into a career for themselves. Theyâve said podcasting along with writing has been their key. Podcasting, like writing, is a skill that takes practice.
Chuck Klosterman is one of my favorite âmusicâ writers (books, used to write for Spin), âthough he writes much more than that. He did a 15 episode podcast series, âMusic Existsâ your son might enjoy - on Spotify. More philosophical and big picture - like are artists responsible for their fanbase or what makes music sound âcommercialâ. Not for everybody but I enjoyed it.
jonattonyeah I will let him know, sounds just the type of thing heâd be in to. Suits his anoraky personality
Nothing wrong with being a proud dad, Al. Itâs well written. I was actually listening to music for the jilted generation the other day. Still sounds good. Break and enter and 3 kilos are timeless.
That Prodigy album was played solidly in my local.
alistair he should keep it up, even if itâs a side hustle. He writes well. Wants to also look at his sentence structure and introduce less focus on two clauses. Some sentences would be better as single statements. I know a few music journos from the good old dance days who are now writers or in high falootinâ jobs but still using yheir creativity.
Good idea. Grant writers make a solid buck in the States if theyâre good. The guy we work with does that to pay for his less-lucrative fiction writing goals. Not full time. Make your own hours. You learn a lot as well.
