Dan Along_the_Wire That’s not too shabby, mate. iPhone appears to last longer and have a better sell on value than most android phones.
SM001 Dan iPhone appears to last longer They do make great hardware. Just a shame their software is a piddling pile of shite.
Along_the_Wire Dan a mate of mine has got a S20 and says that it loses update support from Android after 5 years - and people tbing Apple are shite…

Old-Dutch Along_the_Wire a mate of mine has got a S20 and says that it loses update support from Android after 5 years - and people tbing Apple are shite… Have you ever kept a phone for longer than 5 years?
Smallman1 Once you’ve had Mac, you don’t go back. Not my words, the words of every MacBook Pro user in the world.
Dan Along_the_Wire Yeah, many phones are now doing that, but after three years you might have to replace the battery. Phones are lasting much longer nowadays.
Old-Dutch Think the longest I’ve kept a phone is 3 years. My current Samsung S21 is getting towards that now. Might give this one another year
Dan Old-Dutch This pixel jobby is nearly two years old and still in good nick. Perfect for picture taking and watching hardcore grot.
303abuser My iPhone 12 mini is still going strong. I’ll replace the battery and hopefully get another 2 years out of it. I hate these giant phones, just get an ipad ffs. Anyone on a yearly upgrade cycle needs to have their head examined.
RichM Reckon these will be useful for a few of us who must be starting to go deaf! https://www.apple.com/uk/newsroom/2024/09/apple-introduces-airpods-4-and-a-hearing-health-experience-with-airpods-pro-2/
-si- S23 here. Last 3 or 4 have been samsungs. Decent phones. Missus and kids all on iphones. Won’t be changing anytime soon. Got fucking tied into a 3 year deal with sky, instead of 2. Think you can upgrade after 2 years but I’d prefer to be able to bin them rather than upgrade and lock in for another 2 years.
