If everyone did what I suggested:

  1. You wouldn’t need to type the label
  2. More people would hear what you are actually suggesting because they can just click on it rather than thinking they’ll do it later (and often, don’t)
  3. It helps the music scene - the artists and labels posting the soundcloud/youtube would get supported via more plays, boosted elsewhere on the web due to popularity, and be able to connect with more followers

I don’t mind if you don’t do it, but I do care about the JC board’s value and the music scene so I’m just pointing stuff out that regularly gets missed in many corners of the web.

    Personally I prefer seeing written lists as it takes up less space than multiple Soundcloud/other links. When you get 4 or 5 people posting 5 + 1 tracks, it could all start to get messy with lots of Soundcloud/Bandcamp embedded links what with their physical size.

    Can’t see what’s wrong with doing the old CTRL C, CTRL V into google as the top links will always be to Beatport/Traxxsource/Bandcamp anyway, so artists not missing out.

    Just my 2p worth 🙂

    Other thing worth pointing out from my perspective is that I’m generally scrolling on my phone at work and this is what I see. Not always easy to make out artist or title (see pic below) so I’d generally not click on them in a lot of cases.

      You can follow the artist, repost it, add it to your own playlist, or buy it, straight from that. It’s actually helpful and minimises clicks/faff.

                Would also be helpful if Cue Points are added and the files illegally shared to anyone who wants to cadge them off the member posting the list

                        Mad_Cyril so I think we can all agree that some minor changes to the rules of this thread to cater for all the suggestions should be implemented immediately

                            If the submissions can be star rated for energy level that would also be great.
