Homegrove I’m off the opinion that if your goal here is to promote music you should wait until the release date to chart the tune. No way anyone here has the memory to remember to check something out two weeks after reading it here. That’s what I do anyway when I (rarely these days) get sent something.
Unbroken1 Homegrove …short memory H! The Friday 5 on GU rarely featured a full release 😆 Arguably much less significant now, given that the lead time for most promo is about 2 weeks
erik Homegrove as far as I see it, if I have a copy, whether promo, bought or sent to me pre signing it’s fair game for Five For Friday Not my fault we booked our brains in the 90’s and don’t remember shit 😂
Homegrove Unbroken1 yeah really. 😂 Back then it makes sense. Promos were just a dick measuring contest.
Unbroken1 Dan …some might be a little longer, but generally the trend is the same tho Dan Labels would far rather shout about something once it’s available these days, the whole ‘build a buzz’ thing is kinda redundant in most cases now

Homegrove SM001 the Bedrock of today. Digweed played Rumble Fish on an essential mix almost a full year before it was released.
Unbroken1 SM001 …but more akin to the way it used to be. Only really possible now if you have a core stable of producers playing each other’s tracks on the same circuit.
SM001 Homegrove I didn’t mean holding tracks back for a long time. More the fact that they never promo their tracks or make them available to pre-order. Like they expect customers will just buy them on the spot. (I know some do but they’re mentally ill).
ScottBailey Homegrove the Bedrock of today. Digweed played Rumble Fish on an essential mix almost a full year before it was released He’s been sat on Fortier’s ‘A Nom A Lee’ for over a year and a half. I’ve got a video of him playing it at Easter Bedrock in April 2024!
IndustryStandard erik …David Calo has been putting out some crackers the last few months. I bagged that one on your list too.
