Have had plenty of pre-release stuff > 6 weeks out.
Smallville are a constant, shall not fade, the list goes on.
Also plenty of albums, new Placid Angles slated for late Jan springs to mind from today’s inbox.
I’m not buying anything based on 1 track, unless that track is a banger and can be bought on its own.
Granted that’s not promos but the principle is the same - get them played out early, create a buzz, generate interest and sales.
Posting them on a messageboard is a watered down version of this I guess.
