Five for Friday
Some new tribal/afro/latin house I’ve been enjoying.
Are you serious or are you just taking the piss at this stage?

Music wise, yeah mate. I started to realise I wanted to make some changes this year.
In relation to the format, I figured posting these would offer some insight into what’s going on in my collection, just not in the typed format.
When playing live I tend not to stick to any one style, they become varied so they don’t sound the same style for hours.
I totally get it’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea but having enjoyed a range of Prog/Melodic House for a long time, the reality is that I’m into music to connect with people, I really enjoy a wide range of electronic music, and the Prog scene in Cyprus and Newcastle is about identical - a hard truth being that I’m talking to about 500 people who would possibly come out for it. This translated to about 300 coming out for Sasha and Digweed and 180 came out for my event with Anthony Pappa.
My overall emphasis is moving away from dark/deep and bringing out the more upbeat / fun / positive. There’s enough darkness in the world to go around.
When I play these styles as a working DJ, I tend to find I can play a bar/rooftop or a club and people turn up in decent numbers, of all ages not just low numbers at 40+, and actually they dance / have a great time, which to me is what it’s all about.
Fuck a duck.
A long-winded explanation in stating you’ve sold out.
Echo selling out would be playing music I hated for money.
Truth is I do it for your downvotes
(I can’t believe i’m doing this)
@NasserAlazzawi Watch the below and then check out the title of the thread. There are 2 MASSIVE clues in the title. Cheers.

NasserAlazzawi that’s horrific Nas, I mean, the organic plinky plonk wasn’t great, unassuming and nice for when my Nan came round, but Even my Nan wouldn’t like this. Are you targeting the Top Shop crowd?
ArchimedesQ I was targeting your nan
In all fairness it has surprised me over the last 12 months where my feelings have been at around music.
Until a year ago I probably my thought I’d be die hard Prog forever. And I do love Prog don’t get me wrong but I like experimenting with new sounds and not stagnating as well.
DJs can’t keep everyone happy whichever way it goes so I’m going with how I feel today and not worrying about it.
Play what you want, mate. The more diverse the better. Try not to pigeon hole music genres.
NasserAlazzawi
I want you to just play what I like Nass
Hoying some Calvin Harris on next for you
