What is going on with DETAT Vol.3. Did they forget about it?

SM001 yeah i know but the lack of care for certain projects is really noticeable now.

He’s doing a set at burning Man this weekend I believe or next weekend.

Smokemonk check out his latest track with Artche. To these ears, its very good and shows he has been doing something. At least he’s not playing any plague raves

Homegrove indeed, better than anything uncle John has put his name to recently.

alistair would disagree slightly. The sets featured on LNOE have now been similar for almost a year.

Do agree that he has mixed up his sets a bit for non-LNOE sets he has released

gcw I was referring to his three live lockdown sets. They were different

apyssjw The set was available on mixcloud for a couple of days but after the Rave Block got canceled again they removed it. I’m surprised that no one has download it. There’s a tracklist on 1001 but you can’t find a link for a set anywhere.

alistair Were they? The 2 breaks sets had near identical tracklists and the other one sounded months out of date.

SM001 there were a few tracks he played twice. So what? This bookish obsession with playing new all the time is bullshit. Tony Humphries and Knuckles had certain tracks they would play week in week out for months on end and the crowd responded. Harvey who is unquestionably a great dj barely plays any new tracks

If Sasha wants to spend time with the family etc that’s his business. All i’m saying is his mixes during Covid has been underwhelming. His monthly podcast might as well be ‘whenever I get around to it’ podcast. He also promised regular ‘Detat’ releases on his Bandcamp back in April, there’s been only 2 of those.

alistair During their era / heyday (2 decades ago?) it was a completely different world with every set not being recorded or broadcast live and and passed around the internet or ID’ed by obsessive types in seconds. You could get away with playing tunes for longer. It’s just not the same world these days.
