Seen them countless times at Cielo. Not my fav by any means, but I will admit that their night was always a fantastic time. Only djs/club night I can think of that drew 50% females. Puerto rican chics from the bronx turning up poured into cocktail dresses to go clubbing. Was a blast!

Miguel Migs gigs I remember being mentioned for a night of guaranteed stunning women too.

Think this is a great remix of theirs. That sax playing is so funky

Christian …belter. There was a famous Sasha @ Universe tape that opened with it too.
Its a bit of a shame that many folks only exposure to MAW was from the odd track that synonymous with S&D, River Ocean ‘Happiness’ etc., as there are dozens of hidden gems.

Along_the_Wire …totally get why people wouldn’t like some of their more vocal stuff, and tbh I’ve listened to some of Louie’s recent streams and they ain’t really for me, but at their best they were fucking ridiculous, live instrumentation, incredible percussion. Some of those Strictly-era Kenlou dubs were massively influential on the UK ‘progressive’ house sound ‘92/3’

Forgot about the Debbie Gibson track, it’s glorious

That Debbie Gibson track exemplifies the art of the remix. Just takes tiny snippets of the original and turn it into something completely different and the result is spectacular

Dubman …tbh, I remember that album getting a very tepid reception when it came out. Everyone expecting house bangers and it was all jazzy arrangements of soul standards. I reckon its aged a lot better than many of the ‘dance’ albums of the time tho

Unbroken1 Really like the album. The live instrumentation of their tracks leaves them ageless. Having their pick of world class singers helps. Black Gold of the Sun is lush.

        …4Hero mix is boss

No real compulsion to go back to the album as it was so relentlessly cained at the time, as I said, many many less memorable dance albums from that era tho.

Not one of their Housier or better known tracks but always loved this.

…also reminded myself that if it weren’t for the album we wouldn’t have had this, probably my absolute favourite d&b track ever

The Mood 2 Swing remix of that complete bypassed me till recently, it’s excellent

Just remember doing doves one night and they finished the night with their St Etienne remix.

          Superb.

Dan even better than the Weatherall mix
