Amps Controlled burning of the land DOES have its uses….especially here in California, where it can prevent wildfires from going completely off the rails. By burning old growth/dry tinder, it helps to keep the fires from spreading.
In other areas, controlled burns also help replenish the soil. In the midwest, when a field has been overworked/overgrazed, farmers will do a controlled burn as well, so that when new growth does come in, it’s healthier and stronger.

Not looking forward to that at all. It wasn’t as bad here in the south last year, but I don’t have high hopes for this year. We’ve already seen a number of fires.
