Hursty One for Amps “Banks including some of Europe’s largest lenders have helped fossil fuel companies to raise more than €1tn (£869bn) from the global bond markets since the Paris climate agreement” https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/europe-banks-helped-fossil-fuel-093414328.html
Amps Hursty Lots of noise a few years ago for everyone to move away from the big banks to more ethical ones, but I don’t think it ever got any traction.
Amps Hursty Yeah, there are a few out there, but iirc they tend to be smaller digital banks, so no high street etc. that said, I think the CoOp bank was meant to be okay. I could be wrong though, haven’t looked at it for a while.
Hursty Amps just googled it and Monzo is one apparently, which we use https://bloommoney.co/learning-hub/the-most-ethical-banks-in-the-uk-2023
Dubman In the market myself for changing my business & possibly my current account. HSBC kinetic is so basic. Their statements are in PDF format which most accountcy software won’t accept.
Mad_Cyril Dubman Ran with Starling when I was contracting, good integration (which should be a given to be honest). Also well boss for travelling, currency converted at the time of transaction to actual rates. Barely use currency any more when abroad
Millsy Don’t First Direct basically clean up every year in the banking awards? Have no idea whether they are ‘ESG compliant and LBTQCBx+ friendly’ or whatever
Hursty Along_the_Wire never had an issue, the app works fantastically well. Apparently they don’t invest in fossil fuel companies hence their ‘green’ credentials
